The Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble presents The Power of Music, an inspiring afternoon celebrating music's remarkable ability to move, entertain, and transform.
Featuring acclaimed pianist Joe Holt, the program showcases two beloved concert works: Richard Addinsell's dramatic Warsaw Concerto and Richard Rodgers' captivating Slaughter on Tenth Avenue, demonstrating music's power to tell stories, evoke emotion, and transport audiences to another time and place.
The concert also includes the majestic Great Gate of Kiev, the spirited Glory of the Trumpets March, the colorful Robinson's Grand Entrée, and a memorable tribute to one of America's most beloved musicals with selections from The Music Man.
From moments of grandeur and reflection to excitement, nostalgia, and celebration, The Power of Music highlights the many ways music enriches our lives and connects us through shared experiences.
The afternoon concludes with John Philip Sousa's stirring march The Thunderer, bringing this exciting program to a thrilling finish.
